McFarlane’s Theatrical Edition Superman Brings Christopher Reeve to Life in 7” Scale
McFarlane Toys announced this week a Superman™ (Deluxe Theatrical Edition).
Based on the 1978 Christopher Reeve classic, this version is a premium upgrade of the previous Collector Edition #25. The main difference is a wired fabric cape, a high-quality soft-goods cape designed for cinematic “wind-swept” posing; an updated sculpt to better capture Christopher Reeve’s iconic appearance; and new pack-ins, with reports of exclusive packaging that honors the film’s legacy.
Pre-orders for Superman™ (Deluxe Theatrical Edition) will begin on March 5, 2026. These “Theatrical Edition” waves often sell out within minutes, so you’ll want to check back when we learn the exact time they’ll be available.
The retailers have not yet been announced, but they are usually available at the McFarlane Toys Store, and sometimes Amazon or GameStop. Pricing should be around $29.99 to $37.99.
This is actually the version of Superman (Deluxe Theatrical Edition) from McFarlane Toys. The other is a 7″ scale figure based on the 2025 DC film from James Gunn starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel.
Designed with Ultra Articulation, it has up to 22 points of movement, allowing for dynamic posing and play. The figure comes with a wired cape for added realism and includes Krypto the Superdog.
Extras include three alternate face plates, two additional hands, and a display base. A collectible art card featuring character artwork and a biography is also included. Part of the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse line, this figure is perfect for both collectors and fans looking to recreate iconic moments from the film.
