Leaked LEGO Star Wars UCS Executor Super Star Destroyer Pretty Much Confirmed
It sounds like a new LEGO Star Wars set inspired by the Executor Star Destroyer will be released as part of the Ultimate Collector Series line.
While not officially announced, LEGO has been issuing takedown and copyright notices on any images or leaks for the rumored LEGO Star Wars UCS Star Destroyer set.
Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve heard numerous rumors about the 6,130-piece set (75457). Most recently, we’ve seen leaked box art for the set. As of right now, there’s no price point, but we assume it will cost between $650 and $800 based on the number of pieces and its status as a UCS product.
Again, why might these rumors be true? Mostly because of LEGO’s reaction. The company is sending copyright removal requests for any videos showing the alleged box art.
One YouTuber shared a screenshot of the notice, which cited the reason:
Content used: Unreleased LEGO Set 75457: Ultimate Collector Series Executor Super Star Destroyer
It’s pretty much admission through omission.
Now there is some debate as to the authenticity of the leaked image, with many believing it was AI generated. This could be true, but while the leak itself is credit, the image may not be. At this point, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before an official announcement is made.
If true, this will be the second UCS Super Star Destroyer released.
In 2011, LEGO released Set 10221 – UCS Super Star Destroyer (Executor), representing Darth Vader’s Executor-class Super Star Destroyer. This was a fairly large build, featuring 3,152 pieces and measuring nearly 50 inches in length. It included minifigures such as Darth Vader, Admiral Piett, Bossk, Dengar, and IG-88. LEGO described it:
The Super Star Destroyer Executor has arrived! This jaw-dropping vessel served as command ship at the Battle of Endor and as the personal flagship of Darth Vader in the classic Star Wars movies. With its cla ssic dagger-shaped design, the Executor is among the largest and most powerful vessels in the Star Wars galaxy. With over 3,000 pieces, measuring nearly 50 inches (124.5 cm) long and weighing nearly 8 pounds (3.5 kg), every aspect of this fantastic LEGO Star Wars model impresses. Includes Darth Vader, Admiral Piett, Dengar, Bossk and IG-88 minifigures.
It was retired years ago, and is now a highly sought-after collector’s item with a second-hand market price of nearly $2,000.
It’s worth noting that there is a non-UCS display version. Set 75356 – Executor Super Star Destroyer was released in 2023. It’s still a detailed display model, but on a much smaller scale with only 630 pieces. It was released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi. It’s still available today for $69.99, giving fans a more affordable option.
